FAQs
What is health coaching?
Health and Wellness Coaches are wellness experts and mentors who help others feel their best through personalized diet and lifestyle changes. Health Coaches work with clients to help them discover the best wellness routines that work for them and empower them to meet their unique health goals.
What is the difference between a health coach and a Dietitian?
Although both Health Coaches and Dietitians are working toward the health of their clients, Dietitians have a more narrowed scope of practice. Dietitians prescribe certain diets and health coaches not only evaluate diet but the entire lifestyle of their clients. They access a client's overall well-being and together come up with recommendations to help enact basic health-supportive modifications.
What does a Health and wellness coach do?
Health Coaches take an integrative and holistic approach to health, looking beyond food to consider other areas of life that need nourishment, like career, physical activity, and relationships - what IIN refers to as primary foods. Health Coaches empower clients to better their health by providing a safe space to explore all aspects of their well-being, applying the primary food method and other unique IIN core concepts for a deeper understanding of health.
How long would i work with a coach?
My practice is built into a 6 month program. I was taught at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition that 6 months is the time it takes to enact real change. With biweekly 1 hour sessions, we can dive into all of the pillars of health and create lasting patterns.
